Welcome to the Ionia Free Fair!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Chances are you have either been to the Ionia Free Fair, or heard of it. Since 1856 the Ionia Free Fair has been making noise in one way or another. Over the years the Ionia Free Fair has brought in many big name vocal acts as well as many up and coming acts. The Ionia Free Fair has always had several motorsport events as well. NTPA Grand National Tractor Pulls, Monster Trucks, Stock Car and Sprint Car races and a Demolition Derby to name a few. We have also hosted Rodeos and Cage Fighting in recent years. The Ionia Free Fair is proud to host one of the largest fair midways in the state of Michigan, hosting nearly 50 rides and attractions. The Ionia Free Fair takes great pride in the amount of FREE activities we offer on our midway. Attractions, a Circus, a high flying trapeze act, Wild Animal Exhibit and our E!Park stage, where free musical acts appear throughout the week. The Ionia Free Fair is proud to bring back for its NINTH Season The Ionia Idol! It is a four day vocal competition. Not to mention the hundreds of 4H animals in our barns. During the 10 days of the fair we have a kids day with many fun activities in addition to our midway and barns. We honor The United States brave during Veteran's Day, we also have Ladies Day to recognize women in our community with special events. The Antique Village offers a piece of history to our event and is displayed in our Floral Building located on the river at the south end of the fairgrounds. On the other end of the fairgrounds we have our Marketplace where vendors from all over the country set up to sell just about anything you could need, from fudge and jewelry to purses and mattresses! The Ionia Free Fair is truly a perfect place to spend a day for a fun family activity!
