The 2018 Heritage Day Festivities return the weekend after Labor Day on Saturday, September 8, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Grass Lake annually celebrates its agricultural legacy, as well as being one of the thousands of small town communities in the 1800's that grew up around a railroad station, with the Heritage Day Festival. The festival encompasses one end of the Village to the other along Michigan Ave between the Whistlestop Depot and the Coe House Museum. The streets are filled starting with an open house at both the Depot & Coe House, horse or tractor drawn wagon rides between the two destinations, arts & crafts booths, a tractor show highlighting local farming equipment, a 5K Run/Walk, live music and war reenactments down on the West end of Michigan Avenue near the Coe House Museum. The Interurban Car #29 will also be available for the public to see as well, on the Village Hall grounds at 119 N. Lake Street, plus a whole lot more!

Traditionally held on the Saturday following Labor Day, this will prove to be a day filled with fun, education and entertainment for the whole family. Vendors and those interested in becoming a vendor: below this message you will find links showing you 1) the street layout of the festival 2) a zoomed in picture of the vendor booths and their associated numbers and 3) a Heritage Day Booth Registration Form. Booths are reserved on a first come, first served basis. Once a booth is reserved, the booth will be marked with a red "x" through it. Please note the vendor booth layout is similar to 2014! Booths are on the east end of Michigan Ave., and some booths will be located on the Depot grounds. Please remember -- stakes are strictly prohibited on Michigan Avenue and on the Depot grounds -- so you must weigh your canopies down in some other fashion. Please note the available booth numbers before sending in your reservation form. Additional vendor-specific information on set-up, parking etc. will be sent out prior to the festival.
