| Description: | From Holiday Parade & Christmas Tree Lighting Website: Join us on the Friday after Thanksgiving as the community comes together to celebrate the beginning of the holiday season for the Tree Lighting Ceremony & Actives on the downtown square in the Village of Brooklyn.
This event includes Santa's reindeer, a choir, a variety of food items, merchant open houses, Christmas card making for the troops, Mrs. Claus' storytelling, cookie decorating, vendors and so much more. Of course we cannot leave out the Hometown Holiday Parade to lead in Santa's arrival, after which he visits with all of the children, handing out gifts. Parade line-up on Irwin St. at 6:30 pm
