In the summer on special Thursdays, downtown Sparta throws itself a party

On Thursday, June 16, 2016 and again on Thursday, July 14, 2016, people from near and far will stroll along Mainstreet in downtown Sparta to find an array of musical, theatrical, visual, and artistic delights. Additionally, unique eats will be available by our locally owned restaurants and unique flavors will be added for the evening for your culinary pleasure!

Mainstreet becomes an entertainment venue with musicians on the street. Merchants and retailers stay open late with a street fair atmosphere that includes artists and artisans selling their works on the sidewalks. Restaurants cater to shoppers and evening strollers with special offers and outdoor seating that allows their customers to enjoy our great summer weather as well as the outdoor entertainment.

The Thursday Downtown Sparta Street Festival is truly a shopping-focused community event. Each night is completely organized by business owners and volunteers. The Street Festival is brought to you by Sparta Downtown Development Authority in partnership with the Village of Sparta and Sparta Chamber of Commerce. These groups are dedicated to working together to revitalize downtown Sparta by celebrating our downtown restaurants and shops, building community, and attracting customers.
