Ribfest is a three day event at the Arcadia Creek Festival Place in Downtown Kalamazoo. As one of the original festivals held downtown, Ribfest has been taking place for over 20 years and generates an average attendance of 30,000 people during the three day festival. The event features national and local rib vendors that sell ribs and chicken in outstanding barbeque sauces. The event will also bring in national rock and country musical artists, local bands, plenty of fun activities including childrens crafts/games, Peoples Choice Rib Competition, and the exciting contest for Best Ribs in Kalamazoo. Ribfest has brought in great entertainment over the years including: Dennis DeYoung: The Music of Styx, Shenandoah, James Wesley, The Guess Who, Loverboy, Mickey Dolenz; Lou Gramm from Foreigner, Survivor, Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, the Spinners and Eddie Money, Great White, Skid Row, and Travis Tritt.
