Blue Water Folk Society promotes acoustic and traditional music here in the thumb area of southeast Michigan. Each year we throw a one-day, all-day, all-free bash of music on multiple stages throughout the town of Lexington. We call it THUMBFEST. Whether you're in the mood for Celtic, blues, bluegrass, gypsy worldbeat, African/Cuban/Haitian, Greek traditional, New Orleans brass, Americana, roots, folk, or a mix of it all -- we've got it at Thumbfest. There are workshops, jams, street parties and more, so bring your instrument, voice, and lawnchair!
