| Description: | Over 100 Artist and Crafters will help Michaywé celebrate 36 years of its Annual Arts & Crafts Fair on Friday August 8th and Saturday August 9th from 10:00am to 5:00pm both days. Favorite Artist and Crafters from years past will be joining more than 50 exciting new artisans to help celebrate this event. Michaywé Clubhouse and the surrounding five acre wooded park- like setting will host Local Artists and Crafters, as well as artisans from all over Michigan's Lower and Upper Peninsulas. There will also be artisans from Florida, New Jersey, Arizona, Wisconsin and Nevada. Their juried, beautifully handcrafted creations include pottery, baskets, woodwork, stained glass, jewelry, women and children clothing, doll furniture , doll clothes, purses, soaps, lotions, photography, home decor and yard art as well as many more unique and wonderful items. Food items offered by crafters include delicious sausage, dips, jams, jellies, tea and kettle corn. Lunch specials and beverages will be available in the picnic area by the Michaywé Pro Shop's "Jack Pine Grill" and in the clubhouse at the "Inn the Woods "restaurant. Package pick up delivery to your vehicle is available for items to big or heavy to carry. Shuttle service is available from the parking area into the Art Fair. The vehicles used for the shuttle service are generously loaned to the Michaywé Art Fair by the Gaylord Area Auto Dealerships. The Gaylord radio station Eagle 101.5 FM WMJZ will broadcast live from the fair as well. | ||

| Activities | On Friday, there will be a Kid's Art Zone from Noon to 3pm where youngsters will be able to get their face painted, make a craft or paint a masterpiece. To help Celebrate the anniversary, Home Depot will hold a Kid's Workshop in the Kid's Art Zone. Home Depot will have project kits for the first 50 youngsters to make. | ||
